Throughout my career, I have collaborated with various manufacturers to bring my original characters to life as figures. Recently, I have been revisiting old materials and painting these characters on canvas. As time has passed, some of the companies I’ve worked with are still thriving, while others, unfortunately, are no longer in business. There are also instances where only one figure was produced due to certain circumstances. However, I am proud to say that each character was created with my utmost effort and imagination.
At the upcoming exhibition, I plan to display and sell these canvases, each accompanied by a caption detailing the year and the manufacturer that released the character. I sincerely invite you to visit Qpop in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, to see these works in person.
